Chinese New Year 2012

The Chinese New Year is the most important festival in the chinese calendar because it marks the start of a new year and new beginnings. At Bethany, we celebrate Chinese New Year to commerate our heritage as well as honour our elders.

          Pine Tree Boys singing and wishing their elders a Happy Chinese New Year!           Mr. Ho plays two stirring pieces on his erhu, while being accompanied by the young people on percussions.           The Singing Kakis expressing their joy at the great fellowship they experience during Chinese New Year.           The Singing Kakis sharing their faith and love through song with those who attended the programme.           A way of expressing the joy of having the Lord's blessings is through dance!                      A group of aunties performing a traditional Korean dance.           The audience was treated to a visual feast of colourful Korean costumes, elaborate props and graceful choreography.                                 Dao Hua and Eugene acting as part of the sketch that touched the audience's heart with the story of Auntie Lai Yong.           The sketch of Auntie Lai Yong's journey of faith even as she battled cancer blessed the hearts of those who attended the programme.
