HAS GOD LEFT MAN TO HIS FATE?

There are some who teach that God does not respond to human affairs on earth! This line of thought has led some to declare that God is not interested in human affairs. He has left man to his fate!

GOD IS INTERESTED IN MANKIND
Isaiah was one prophet who proclaimed that God was actively interested in man’s affairs (Isaiah 1:24-25). Speaking with great authority from the LORD Himself (Cf. Isaiah 1:24 “Therefore the LORD says…”), Isaiah proclaimed the following things:-

1. God will deal with His enemies

a) He will firmly deal with the enemies/adversaries that had corrupted Israel
(Isaiah 1:24a)

i) Unrepentant sinners and transgressors will be punished Isaiah 1:28a

ii) Those who forsake the Lord Isaiah 1:28b

iii) Those who indulged in idolatrous practices Isaiah 1:29

b) He will also deal with Israel directly Isaiah 1:25
i) He will purge the nation

ii) He will take away the dross

2. God will deal with Israel favorably

a) Restoration of judges Isaiah 1:25a

b) Restoration of counselors Isaiah 1:25b

3. God’s Goal

God had a very clear goal in mind- full restoration.

“ Afterward you shall be called
the city of righteousness, the faithful city”
Isaiah 1:26

OFFER THE DOCTRINE OF A GOD WHO INVOLVES HIMSELF WITH MAN

This is a glorious doctrine that we must ever teach vigorously. God will not leave man to his fate. God offers a solution to the problem of sin. God offers more than just forgiveness. He offers full regeneration and restoration! If anyone can do it, God can and He will!
