THE
PROMISE TO HEAR AND ANSWER PRAYER
God gave to King Solomon one of the most stirring promises at the Dedication
of the Temple.
“ Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer
made in this place.
For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name
May be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there
perpetually.”
2 Chronicles 7:15-16

A COMPLETE REVERSAL IN THE DAYS OF ISAIAH
What a turnaround for Israel. Instead of these promises, God gave this word
in the days of Isaiah.
“ When you spread out your hands,
I will hide My eyes from you;
Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear.
Your hands are full of blood.”
Isaiah 1:15

A CHALLENGE TO TEACH IN-DEPTH
One of the challenges in the ministry of Sunday School is to teach in-depth.
It is good to challenge our pupils to explore the Scriptures in-depth. Without
this in-depth analysis of the actual spiritual state of Israel by Isaiah,
the nation would not have woken up to its true spiritual state. Let us be
deeply challenged to cultivate this teaching skill.
