GOD’S APPROVAL

God desires to interact with us far more than we realize. Whether we respond appropriately or inappropriately, God will interact with us. “Indeed He says,

Isaiah 49:6

Tremendous thoughts may be found in this text. The following may be highlighted:-

1. Initial plan

a) To raise up the tribes of Jacob

b) To restore the preserved ones of Israel

c) This was the focus of the Messiah Jesus

2. Further plans revealed

a) As a light to the Gentiles

i) This was an extension of the first program

ii) The ramifications of the Messiah’s obedience to the Lord would extend far and wide… to the Gentiles!

iii) Jesus declared Himself as The Light of the world (John 8:12)

b) Salvation to the ends of the earth

i) News of salvation was first revealed to Israel

ii) But God’s plan also had the “ends of the earth” in mind

iii) The Disciples of Jesus would one day proclaiming and fulfilling this prophecy
