Let us mull over these words carefully. 1. What the Messiah did not do a) He did not disdain the task assigned to Him b) He did not dismiss it as something small and insignificant 2. What the Messiah did a) He sought the approval of the Lord (His Father) b) He sought to be glorious in His sight i) Obedience, He knew, is greatly prized ii) Faithfulness, is also greatly approved of c) He sought to find in the Lord the strength He needed to fulfill all that
had been assigned to Him d) He knew that as much strength from the Lord is needed in small tasks
