COMPREHENDING THE TASKS GOD GIVES

The world is a huge place. It would not be wrong to say that God has many, many tasks that need to be comprehended first, and then performed! Jesus understood His task well. Let us ponder the following text carefully.
“And now the LORD says,
who formed me from the womb to be His servant,
to bring Jacob back to Him,
So that Israel is gathered to Him” Isaiah 49:5

How should we interpret this text? Let us ponder the following thoughts:-

1. What this plan is NOT

b) It is not the Master Plan of evangelism

2. What this plan IS

a) It is a very specific plan

b) It is a specific plan for the Life of Jesus

c) It is a specific plan for the earthly ministry of Jesus

d) It is a limited plan with the focus on the nation of Israel

3. An Evaluation of this plan

a) It is a realistic plan

b) Jesus, being in the flesh can only do so much and no more

c) Jesus had only three years of public ministry and this plan fits well

4. Did Jesus accept this plan for Him?

a) Yes! He focused on reaching Israel

b) He knew that this plan was to fulfil what God had promised the nation

c) Faithfully and with great understanding He fulfilled His God-given task
