GOOD CHANGES

It has been more than a month of writing a special word to all involved in the Sunday School Ministry. As I reflect on the Sunday School Webpage further, I thought I would like to make some changes.

1. Interaction with you

I would love to hear from you. It would be great to interact with you. At the moment, there is little interaction!

2. Meditation

I would like to encourage and promote the idea of learning how to practise meditation as the Scriptures teach us!

3. Many blessings may be expected

a) Depth of thought
This would be most welcome! Teachers need to deepen their thoughts if they wish to be more effective.

b) Implanting of the Scriptures deep in the heart
Meditation can lead to the Word of God becoming deeply implanted within the heart.

c) Quality of faith
We will actually see the quality of our faith improve significantly. This is surely the desire of every teacher of God’s word.

d) Greater clarity of understanding
One special blessing is that of a clearer comprehension of God’s word. This thought should motivate us to desire mastery of the art of meditation.

4. Dangers that can be overcome through Meditation

Three dangers may be highlighted. Meditation is offered as an answer to these dangers.

a) The real danger of remaining stagnant
This is a danger that all of us face, even if we are involved in the teaching of the Lord’s word as SS teachers.

b) The danger of complacency
This is another very real danger that must be overcome.

c) The danger of lack of further spiritual input
This is also a great source of danger that must be recognized and overcome!
