From the Teacher
During my many years at Bethany, I am grateful that the church has consistently
provided instruction pertaining to life and godliness. It has been my challenge
to not only understand the Word with the mind, but to have a lifestyle shaped
by
that understanding.
I like SSS 2. The teaching ministry for grown-ups calls us to more urgently
order every aspect of our lives aright, more so as responsibilities increase
at
home and at work.
I like the personable dimension of small group teaching - being able to discuss
how we may apply God's Word to the demands of life or the difficulties that
beset us, praying together, learning together... and I have seen within the
class
that to those who faithfully keep at learning, how they have made progress
and lead useful lives. That encourages me in turn to walk with God in the
light of
His Word more diligently.

About
the class SSS 2 caters to working adults and we are the youngest of the lot. We are a group of ladies who have been working for at least 3 (long) years! Our class seeks to apply Biblical principles to life's situations, and cultivate good character necessary to deal with life's challenges. We have studied from the book of James and 2 Timothy; examined questions asked by non-believers and how we may present the faith; looked at several women characters from the Bible and the qualities of faith and life we should develop. We also recently pondered the meaning of life thro the book of Ecclesiastes. This year, our class will focus on learning and bearing the fruit of the Spirit. As a class, we are committed to giving to missions. Each month, we set aside an amount; giving because we see the needs of our overseas brethren. We would like to help spread God’s love and Word through our giving. |
