The
class has grown in size averaging 20 ladies. We come from
all walks of
life and most are married with school-going or older children.
Yet, no
matter where we are in life, attending Sunday School is
a priority for us.
It is through Sunday School that our bonds are strengthened
as we learn to
show care and concern and pray for one another. It has
been our pleasure to
serve together and do our part in the 'washing up' ministry
after Sunday
School each week.
We have just completed our study on the theme of "The
Purpose Driven Life" (discussions
taken from the book by Rick Warren) where the emphasis
has been
on having a purposeful walk with the Lord and to live meaningfully
in
service for Him. For 2007, we are studying the Book of
Acts and learning
about the formation of the early church. In line too with
Pastor's messages
for January where the theme is on the Christian walk, 2
of our class members
have undertaken to do additional research and share with
us on the life of
Enoch and Abraham (both commended for their walk with God).
We
look forward to an exciting year of discovering the richness
of God's
word and growing more significantly in our faith.
