Being
a class of young (or yet-to-be married) working man, we focus on
building up faith, godliness and character. Notwithstanding the
diverse background and needs of our students, we could find a common
thread among them.
We
draw relevant lessons from the Biblical texts, including
the Epistle to the Hebrews, our current object of study, and find
application
in their lives. With its theme and emphasis on faith, the
Epistle to the Hebrews allows the class embarked on a journey to
discover the substance of their faith and to test it against the
Biblical truth. Indeed, with the competing needs for the student’s
attention, time and energy, this epistle challenges its readers
to mature
in their faith.
"Solid
food belongs to those who are of full age,
That
is, those who by reason of use
have their senses
exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Hebrews 5:14
Our
lives are shaped by the choices we make. Through the the
study of God's Word in the class, students find faith real. At
the crossroads of their lives, right choices may be made, with
faith in
Christ
Jesus. Indeed, may we be found faithful, when we appear before
the witnesses who have gone before us, and obtain the final prize
of
our calling.
