Our Sunday School ministry was first launched in the early 1970s by
Pastor Charlie in Seletar Hills Estate. He sought to build Bethany squarely
on the Word of God and prayer, the twin pillars of faith.
 |
Since
then, our Sunday School has grown by leaps and bounds. From
a single Sunday School class, Bethany Sunday School has now
grown to eight Sunday School departments with over 400 students,
79 teachers and 8 Superintendents. |
All Sunday School classes are held every Sunday Morning at 8.30am.
The eight Sunday School Departments are:-
- Toddlers
Sunday School;
- Beginners
Sunday School;
- Junior
Sunday School 1 & 2
- Intermediate
Sunday School
- Senior
Sunday School 1, 2, & 3
The key focus of Bethany Sunday School is Bible teaching. We seek
to provide sound doctrinal teaching to all age groups, starting from
the toddlers, to teens, young working adults and married couples.

The goals of Bethany Sunday School are:-
- To
instruct our students in the Word of God so
that they can acquire a deep personal knowledge of and relationship
with God and be conformed
to the image of Christ. We seek to engage our students in
a quest for an ever-deeper understanding of and relationship
with God, so that
they may become spiritually mature and effective Christians.
- To
equip our students to fulfil the Great Commission given
by our Lord Jesus Christ in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go therefore
and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the
name of
the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe
all things that I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you
always, even
to the end of the age."
- To
equip our students for effective service and ministry: “That
the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every
good work ” II
Timothy 3:17.
“And
He Himself gave some to be
apostles,
some
prophets, some
evangelists,
and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping
of the saints
for the work of the ministry,
for
the edifying of the body of Christ.”
Ephesians 4:11-12
