Text: Psalm 18

A GREAT AND LIVING GOD

How important it is that we are conscious of the God we own and serve. David found the Lord so real he exulted in his knowledge of God.

"The LORD lives!
Blessed be my Rock!
Let the God of my salvation be exalted!"
Psalm 18:46

1. Our God Lives!

Too few understand that we have a great and wonderful God who truly is alive and well! How we need to apply this truth in our battle against evil!

2. Bless the Lord

How our hearts must cry out to the Lord in praise and thanksgiving! May each time we think of the Lord cause us to bless His Name. How can we not praise He who is our Rock?

3. Exalt the name of the Lord

Let us ever seek to exalt the great name of our God! His Name is matchless indeed. Let us determine to exalt the name of the Lord always!

THE DELIVERANCE THAT GOD GIVES

As David exulted in the Lord, he could not help but think of the deliverance and blessing that he had received.

"You have delivered me from the striving of the people,
You have made me the head of the nations;
A people I have not known shall serve me…
It is God who avenges me,
And subdues the peoples under me;
He delivers me from my enemies.
You also lift me up above those who rise against me;
You have delivered me from the violent man."
Psalm 18:43, 47-48

Psalm 18:48

Our living God can deliver us from all our troubles too! How our hearts must rejoice that we have the same great and wonderful God as David the psalmist! Let us take heart as we continue our battle against evil!
