Luke 19

Dear Brethren,

PALM SUNDAY
We celebrate Palm Sunday once again! And each Palm Sunday we have a Baptismal Service! It is right and fitting that we remember Palm Sunday in the right spirit!

1. Recognition of Jesus
Like the disciples of old, we recognize the Lord Jesus as it is described in the following text!

"Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the LORD!
Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!" Luke 19:38

a) We acknowledge the Lord Jesus as our King

b) We ascribe to Him the glory that is due to Him!

2. Rejoicing in Jesus
Again, like the crowds of disciples that thronged the streets of old Jerusalem, rejoicing in the Lord Jesus, so we rejoice in Him!

a) We rejoice that He is our Saviour and Lord

b) We rejoice in our relationship with Him

c) We rejoice in His teachings!

JOY OF SEEING MORE PEOPLE ADDED TO THE CHURCH
Let us extend our sense of joy as we welcome more people added to our Church membership.

1. We acknowledge that it is the Lord who adds to the Church Acts 2:47

2. We rejoice above all, that God has so graciously given to us our salvation

Let us remember what Jesus said to The Seventy who reported to Him about their successful ministries, where even demons were subjected to them.

"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this,
that the spirits are subject to you;
But rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."
Luke 10:20

Prayerfully,
Pastor Charles Tan
