(I) THE CALL OF GOD

1. Associated with mighty servants of God

2. Amazing Calls in the Scriptures

a) The Call of Abraham (Genesis 12)

b) The Call of Moses (Exodus 2)

c) The Call of Isaiah (Isaiah 6)

d) The Call of Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1)

e) The Call of the Disciples/Apostles (Luke 6:12-13)

(II) THE HOPE OF HIS CALLING

1. It is to be fathomed in prayer (Ephesians 1:15)

2. The things we must pray for to fathom God’s Call

a) The Spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17)

b) Knowledge (Ephesians 1:17)

c) Understanding and enlightenment (Ephesians 1:18)

(III) A GLORIOUS PERSPECTIVE

1. Partakers of the Heavenly Calling (Hebrews 3:1)

a) Christ had a heavenly calling

i) He was Sent Forth (Apostle) (Hebrews 3:1)

ii) He was anointed “High Priest” (Hebrews 3:1)

b) We share in the same heavenly Calling

i) We are sent forth too (John 20:21)

ii) We are called “a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:21)

2. Power for Ministry

a) God’s Power is available to us (Ephesians 1:19)

b) This is to be prayed for and realised (Ephesians 1:19)
