WELCOME TO BETHANY

We are glad that you have chosen to worship the Lord Jesus with us today! May your hearts be deeply encouraged through worship and fellowship!

NEXT SUNDAY

  1. We will be having a combined worship.
  2. We will be having our ACMs after lunch in church.
  3. ACM BIPC: We will commence at 1.00 pm.
  4. ACM BTS: We will commence at 2.30 pm.

IMPORTANCE OF ACMs

Three things may be highlighted:

1. Practice Of Good Discipline

  1. We are required by law to hold ACMs.
  2. We exercise good discipline when we seek to "fulfill all righteousness".

2. Practice Of Good Accountability

  1. We practise accountability all the time.
  2. Practice of accountability at many levels:
    1. Personal.
    2. Session.
    3. Church Congregation (ACM).

3. Practice Of Sharing A Vision

  1. Our vision for the Lord's work has expanded significantly.
  2. We must seek to share Bethany's growing vision as a congregation.
  3. Let us pray for strength to fulfill all that the Lord has entrusted us.

Let us pray for another meaningful ACM this year!

1. Practice Of Waiting

  1. This is a universal concept.
  2. Consciously or unconsciously all living creatures wait on the Lord.

2. The Practice Of Waiting On The Lord In The Animal Kingdom

  1. God provides for all the needs of living creatures in the animal kingdom.
  2. Knowledge of this fact should challenge us to learn how to practise waiting on the Lord.

CHURCH FAMILY CAMP

Theme: Rightly Dividing the Word
Date: 14-19 March 2010
Venue: Mercure Palm Resort (Johor)

SO MANY GOOD REASONS TO ATTEND FAMILY CAMP 2010

Two sets of reasons may be highlighted:

1. Church Reasons

  1. Family Camps help strengthen the church as a family community.
  2. Great friendships are forged through attending family camps.

2. Personal Reasons

  1. Deeper understanding of the Word of God.
  2. Faith in the Lord is renewed.
  3. A stronger Christian walk results.
LOOKING AHEAD AT THE MONTH OF MARCH 2010

The month of March will see us having a series of Combined Worship Services!

Two reasons predominate:

  1. Church Family Camp commences on 14 March 2010.
  2. Easter Baptismal Sunday is on 28 March 2010.
    (This is also Palm Sunday.)

Let us look forward to a wonderful time of special Combined Worship Services next month!

Theme: Victory through our Lord Jesus

Let us celebrate the victory Jesus achieved when He rose from the dead! Let us seek to share our faith in the Risen Saviour with friends and relatives!

Book your table as soon as possible! Let us seek to reach out to all who are interested to learn about the Christian faith!

SOME MINUTES IN THE MORNING

Some minutes in the morning,
Ere the cares of life begin,
Ere the heart's wide door is open
For the world to enter in.
Oh, then alone with Jesus,
In the silence of the morn,
In heavenly sweet communion
Let your every day be born,
In the quietude that blesses,
With a prelude of repose,
Let your soul be soothed and softened
As the dew revives the rose.

Some minutes in the morning
Take your Bible in your hand,
And catch a glimpse of glory
From the peaceful promised land.
It will linger still before you
When you seek the busy mart,
And like flowers of hope will blossom
Into beauty in your heart.
The precious words like jewels
Will glisten all the day
With a rare refulgent glory
That will brighten all the way!
