  2. It is never centered in man!

3. Bondservants For Jesus' Sake

CELEBRATING BETHANY'S 36TH ANNIVERSARY

One of the reasons why we want to celebrate our Church's Anniversary is for the sake of the next generation! Let us determine to teach them the lessons that we have learned as we look back 36 years of the Lord's blessings! What are some of these precious lessons?

Lesson #1: "By My Spirit"

"This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:
'Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,'
Says the Lord of hosts!"

Zechariah 4:6

A. Drawing Thoughts From The Scriptures!

1. Not By Might Nor By Power

This is a reference to human might and power!

2. By My Spirit

YES!

B. Appreciation And Application

1. Let Us Appreciate This Wondrous Truth!

  1. God is deeply involved in our Church.
  2. His Spirit is touching many lives!

2. Let Us Teach The Next Generation

  1. How they ought to see the relevance of the Scripture giving us deep insight.
  2. How they ought to appreciate the role of the Spirit of God in Bethany's growth and development over all these years!

SIGNING UP FOR THE ANNIVERSARY DINNER

YOUTH CONFERENCE 2009
(6-11 December 2009)

Theme: FREED!

So many are enslaved! Many are held captive by the world, by sin and yes, by Satan! The Youth Conference will be studying the Scriptures to learn how a person may be set free! It was the Lord Jesus who said, "And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free" (John 8:32).

1. Commitment Of The Youth Conference

  1. To preach the truth.
  2. To apply the truth.
  3. To help people find the freedom that Jesus promised.

2. Challenge To All At Bethany

  1. To pray for the success of the Youth Conference.
  2. To support the Youth Conference in practical ways.
  3. To encourage many young people to come to the Lord Jesus so that they may be set free from the powers that enslave!

POETRY CORNER

LEAVE GOD TO ORDER

Leave God to order all thy ways,
And hope in Him whate'er betide;
Thou'lt find Him, in the evil days,
Thine all-sufficient Strength and Guide,
Who trusts in God's unchanging love
Builds on the Rock that naught can move!

Only thy restless heart keep still,
And wait in cheerful hope, content
To take whate'er His gracious will,
His all-discerning love hath sent,
Nor doubt our inmost wants are known
To Him who chose us for His own.

He knows when joyful hours are best,
He sends them as He sees it meet,
When thou hast borne the fiery test,
And now are freed from all deceit,
He comes to thee all unaware,
And makes thee own His loving care.

Sing, pray and swerve not from His ways;
But do thine own part faithfully.
Trust His rich promises of grace,
So shall they be fulfilled in thee.
God never yet forsook at need
The soul that trusted Him indeed.
