GREETINGS FROM PASTOR CHARLIE

Pastor returns home this evening after a week of ministry in Bethel. Thank God for grace and strength to minister for the Lord. Bethel continues to do well. A small contingent will be coming for our Church Family Camp.

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11:1

1. What Faith Is Not

  1. It is not just feelings.
  2. It is not make-believe.

2. What Faith Is

  1. It may indeed be described as having "substance".
  2. It is made up of things that we hope for from the Lord.
  3. It is so real it may be described as "evidence" of unseen things.

How does our faith measure up against this Biblical definition?

NEXT SUNDAY- ACM

Let us look forward to the ACM. Let us always have a positive attitude when we hold our ACM.

1. What We Must Guard Ourselves Against

  1. Let us not allow ourselves to have negative thoughts and attitudes about the ACM.
  2. Let us also not allow ourselves to adopt a secular approach towards the ACM.

2. What We Want To Cultivate

  1. Let us see that there is a spiritual side to the ACM.
  2. Let us seek and sense the Lord's Presence in our midst.

3. What We Want To Achieve

  1. Let us refresh ourselves concerning the ministry of the Church.
  2. Let us encourage each other to attempt and achieve greater things for the Lord.
CHURCH FAMILY CAMP
(11-16 March 2012)

Theme: The Day of the Lord.
Venue: Le Grandeur Palm Resort, Johor

Camp Fees: Good news! The hotel will not be raising room rates this year. Thus there will not be an increase in the Camp fees.

SIGNING UP FOR THE CHURCH CAMP

Let us encourage many more to come for the Church Camp. There are many reasons why we want to sign up for the Camp! Three may be highlighted:

  1. There is so much to learn about the Return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
  2. There is the danger of being unprepared for the Return of the Lord.
  3. There is great blessing in having a heart that is well attuned to the Second Coming of Christ.
EASTER 2012

Let us look forward to another meaningful Easter program this year.

We will be observing the Lord's Supper

3. Easter Concert (Friday-Saturday, 6-7 April 2012)

4. Easter Sunday (8 April 2012)
Once again we will be having our Easter Sunday Service at Shangri-La.

EASTER BAPTISMAL SERVICE

All baptismal/confirmation/transference candidates are to do the following:

  1. Please fill up the appropriate form.
  2. Write a testimony of your personal faith in the Lord.
  3. Submit both to any of the pastors.

Please book your table as soon as possible. Let us plan to sponsor tables so that more may be invited for our Easter Service.

CONGRATULATIONS! IT'S A GIRL

Heartfelt congratulations to Min Yi and Adrian on God's gift of a baby girl. Baby Lauren was born on 16 Feb 2012. Both mother and baby are fine!
