WHY THE COMMANDMENTS WERE GIVEN  (Deut 6:24-25)

1.   That our lives may be better ordered

2.   That our lives may reflect our profession of faith in God

3.   That our lives may be well-pleasing in every... to God and to man.

 

KEEPING OF GOD’S COMMANDMENTS

1.   They are to be “observed” or “kept”      Deut 6:1-3

2.   They are meant to be taught to our posterity

3.   Diligence is of critical importance    Deut 6:7, 17

4.   Love for the Lord must play a key role      Deut 6:5

 

UNDERSTANDING THE TERM “THE FEAR OF THE LORD”
